Community building is at the heart of what we do at PRD. Join us at one of our upcoming Special Events! You can easily register online through PRD's CommunityPass website. 
 
We highly recommend registering in advance for PRD Special Events. Please note that a CommunityPass account is often required.

Save time and avoid delays by registering ahead of time! Registering at the door can take longer and may slow your entry. Don't forget to remind your friends and family to register early too!

Designed for you to unwind, gather with friends, and make new connections in a relaxed and engaging atmosphere. Each evening is a fusion of adult socializing and entertainment.

All events are held at 801 Magnolia Avenue, Main Room. Advanced Registratiois required and available via Community Pass.

Intro to Ikebana

Ikebana is the Japanese art of flower arrangement that emphasizes harmony, balance, and symbolism. In this introduction class, Chris "Hokyu" Mehling will explain the difference between Western-style flower arranging in Japanese-style flower arranging. Following a floral demonstration, explaining the key aspects and principles of Ikebana, participants will have an opportunity to assemble a new creation using their own materials and imaginations.
 PRD's 2nd Annual Puzzle Palooza

Gather your team (max 6) and get ready for a mind bending evening of fun and puzzling competition! Each team will receive an identical puzzle — which team will be the first to complete theirs and claim victory? We'll provide light bites to keep your brain fueled and beverages to keep the energy high. It's all about teamwork, strategy, and a little friendly competition! Prizes are awarded to the top teams.

Piedmont Pop-Up Putt-Putt

Get your friends, family, neighbors, classmates, or coworkers together to create one of the novelty obstacle holes for the Pop-Up Putt Putt course! Prizes will be awarded for Best Overall, Most Creative, Most Clever, and Best Use of Recycled Materials. The course entries will be set up in the Community Hall parking lot the morning of the event. The Piedmont pop up putt putt course will be opened for the community to play a round from 12:00–4:00 PM After you play, green and picnic in beautiful Piedmont Park! Check out the mobile golf simulator sponsored by ACE Golf!

Play Like a Girl+ Piedmont 2026*

The City of Piedmont is hosting its 5th annual Play Like a Girl+ Piedmont event on Sunday, May 3rd, at Piedmont High School's Witter Field!

More than 20 sports organizations from around the Bay Area will have hands-on activities for girls ages 2–18 to try. From boxing to volleyball to field hockey, there will truly be something for everyone!

Athletes will enjoy live demonstrations as well as professional, Paralympic and Olympic athletes. Additional event details, including a list of feature sports, will be continually updated this Spring on the Play Like a Girl+ Piedmont webpage.
