Safer Streets Input Sought
Posted on 11/30/2020
The City of Piedmont wants your input in updating the Pedestrian and Bicycle Master Plan (PBMP). This update project, called Piedmont Safer Streets (PSS), is intended to improve the conditions on our streets while including an additional focus on traffic safety. This plan will detail concrete steps to make streets safer for the growing number of people who are walking and bicycling in our community.

The City believes that public participation is essential during the update, not only to ensure feasible decisions are made, but also sustain trust in the planning process. With the goal of keeping the planning going through this pandemic, there are three special opportunities to provide your input on safety needs and concerns. This is your chance to raise your voice and share any concerns or ideas.

Digital Community Workshop. The City encourages all Piedmonters to participate so that we can achieve the best possible outcomes. This zoom workshop is scheduled for Wednesday, December 9, 2020, starting at 6:00 p.m. The workshop will review progress made since 2014 and will include a lively community discussion on future directions. Residents can participate in the workshop by clicking or by opening or calling into Zoom and entering Meeting ID:
813 7558 1911.

Take the Online survey. This brief survey has been created to hear Piedmonters' opinions on key questions concerning walking, biking, and traffic safety. Everyone who responds will be eligible to win one of three $50 gift cards for Mulberry’s Market.

Visit our Pinnable Map page. Piedmonters can post location-specific comments about walking, biking, and traffic safety, or even post your cool ideas and suggestions for improving street conditions. This is yet another opportunity to win a Mulberry’s Market gift card!
